4 days 3 nights Hiking and Biking tour of the Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon Multi-Sport Adventure
No one leaves the edge of the Grand Canyon unaffected. The sheer magnitude of this massive abyss alters our perception of life. Watch the play of light and shadow on the canyon's angular forms and colors changing with the hour and you have a sublime experience found nowhere else in the world.

The summer months are still wonderful to explore the Rim; average day temperatures will be 70-80 with nights still dipping into the 50’s.  Elevations of 8,000-9,000 feet above sea level, make August and September super months to visit.

Experience the Grand Canyon Multi-Sport Adventure. This trip not only provides unparalleled hiking on historic trails and views of awe-inspiring overlooks, but also adds the thrill of mountain biking on the most incredible sections of the legendary Rainbow Rim trail. Before riding, we present detailed instruction in our Mountain Biking 101 clinic. Our guides lead every ride, and with shuttle support participants can chose when to call it a day. The biking portions cover a variety of off-road terrain guaranteed to delight newcomers to the sport while still offering challenges to more experienced enthusiasts. Take on only as much as you like--after all, this is your vacation! And don't worry about the amenities--we'll still arrive back in camp each night for sumptuous meals and a hot shower.

ITINERARY

Day 1:  is a short 3.5-mile day hike, break for lunch, and then a beginning 8-12 mile single-track bike ride

Day 2:  is an all day hike dropping into the Canyon with lunch on the trail, 8-9 miles roundtrip.

Day 3:   is a biking day on mostly easy-moderate singletrack, 7 miles,  with a sunset walk.

Day 4:  is a mountain bike, 10 miles, until lunch, last vistas and then back home. We start our interpretation with a mountain biking clinic, covering all the bases for those who have not biked off-road before. Our maximum group size is 12, but we usually average 6-8 folks, with 2 guides, which allow us to cater to a variety of activity levels.  Our trips are all-inclusive, with camping equipment, bikes, helmets, and gourmet meals.

Come join us for lifetime memories of the Grand Canyon this year!

Delicious Dining
Breakfast
Steaming coffee provides welcome warmth on cool mornings as you watch the rising sun angle down the canyon walls, turning the cliffs shades of bronze and magenta. You might think you're still dreaming when you see plates of steaming flapjacks, fresh fruit and scrambled eggs, but it's the way every morning begins.
Lunchtime
A wonderful selection of fresh meats and cheeses, delicious breads, along with crisp vegetables and a variety of spreads satisfy hearty lunchtime appetites. Tasty chicken and veggie wraps or perhaps chicken salad pitas may also be part of our mid-day buffet.
Dutch-Oven Delight
While you relax and enjoy delectable appetizers, the guides prepare a dinner that is sure to surprise and please. Every night is different, but the menu will likely include grilled chicken breasts, tender steaks, lasagne, or fresh fish accompanied by tossed delicious side dishes. Scrumptious Dutch-oven desserts top off the evening meal.
